Join artist and educator Katie Sims for a relaxed and inspiring creative workshop set within the beautiful surroundings of Yalham Hayes Flower Garden.

Using freshly cut seasonal flowers grown by Aizel Finch, we'll begin by tracing the fascinating shadows cast by blooms and foliage before allowing the process to unfold through playful experimentation. Using watercolour, acrylic and pens, you'll create expressive artworks inspired by observation, imagination, colour and the influence of those creating alongside you.

This workshop is not about producing a perfect finished piece. Instead, it is an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, enjoy creative play and experience the wellbeing benefits of making art in a supportive and welcoming environment. Expect conversation, inspiration and plenty of creative freedom around one shared table.

🌿 Weather permitting, the workshop will take place amongst the flowers in the garden. If the weather has other plans, we'll retreat to the characterful converted Cow Shed Studio, offering a cosy and equally inspiring creative space.

No previous art experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Katie will guide and support you throughout, helping you embrace the process and discover your own creative voice.
