Come and join us for the very first Re|Root Collective gathering - a relaxed and welcoming opportunity to meet like-minded people who share an interest in creativity, wellbeing and nature.

This first meet-up isn't about being artistic, experienced, or having any particular skill set. It's simply about coming together, slowing down, making connections and helping shape what this community could become.

We'll begin with a gentle stroll through Vivary Park, taking in the surroundings and getting to know one another through informal conversation. Along the way, there will be the opportunity to take part in a simple creative activity inspired by the natural environment. Think sketchbook doodles, observational drawing, shadow tracing or collecting visual inspiration — no pressure, no expectations, just a chance to notice, explore and enjoy.

Afterwards, we'll head over to Station Café for those who would like to continue the conversation over a coffee, tea or cake. This will be a chance to chat more deeply about what you'd love to see from Re|Root Collective, share ideas, meet potential friends and collaborators, and help shape future activities together.

As an added bonus, Somerset Armed Forces Day will also be taking place in Vivary Park on the same day. This highly popular free community event celebrates the Armed Forces and emergency services communities and will include arena displays, military vehicles, fly-pasts, live demonstrations and a variety of local stalls. You're welcome to enjoy the event before or after our gathering and make a full day of it in Taunton.

• Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather

• A sketchbook and a pencil and/or pen if you'd like to join the creative activity - (I shall bring some spare paper, pens and pencils if you wish to use these instead)

• An open mind and any ideas you'd like to share
